Email marketing
Email Marketing – very simple explain from my side
Email marketing… honestly sometimes people make it sound too big or too pro. But it’s not like that. It’s just sending useful emails to people who wanna hear from you. That’s it. Nothing rocket thing here. I also used to think “who even read emails now?” but later I noticed I myself read many emails without planning lol.
Brands send offers, small updates, reminders… and somehow I open them.
So ya, email still works a lot.
What is email marketing (in normal talk)
Okay so email marketing basically means a business send a email to someone who is interested in their stuff. The email can be anything like:
small offer
new product
some tips
newsletter
reminder
or just a hey message
Main idea is… stay in mind of your customer.
If they forget you, they won’t buy anything later also.
Why email works so good even today
Few simple reasons:
people check email daily, like many times
you don’t need big money
you can send many messages for free
you control your audience (not like social media)
customers feel little bit personal connection
Email feels more like one-to-one talk, not shouting in crowd.
How email marketing actually works
It works like this:
You collect people’s email (who want your info)
You send them useful or interesting things
Slowly they trust you
Then one day they buy something
That’s the whole process.
You can collect emails from signup forms, small pop-ups, “get 10% OFF” offers, etc.
Types of emails you can send
There are some basic types, nothing too complicated:
- Welcome email
Just say hi, thank you, and small intro. - Offer email
Discount, sale, special deal… all that. - Newsletter
Weekly or monthly update or tips. - Reminder mail
“Your cart still there”, “sale ending soon”, etc. - Thank you mail
Just to show some respect.
You don’t gotta send all. 2–3 is already fine.
Good emails look like this (simple points)
A good email is:
short (nobody like too long)
friendly
easy reading
one clear message
not formal like robot
Write like you talk. That’s the trick.
Mistakes people do (and then blame email)
Lot of people do these things:
sending too many emails
writing boring long text
sending same mail to every person
too much images
confusing subject line
expecting big results in 1 day
Then they say “email not working”. But problem is not email, problem is the way they send.
Small tips that help actually
make subject line short
add one simple button
don’t overdecorate
write like you talk to a friend
send at good time (morning usually ok)
test 2–3 versions
Don’t try to be perfect. Perfect emails look fake sometimes.
Why email is amazing for small business
If you run small shop, home business, online store, whatever… email helps because:
it’s cheap
it brings old customers back
you don’t depend on algorithms
it grows slow but very steady
Even if your email list is only 50 or 100 people, its okay.
Sometimes small list is more active than big one.
Final thoughts (very human tone)
Email marketing is actually simple. Not scary.
You don’t need high English, you don’t need fancy design, nothing like that.
Just talk normal.
Share something helpful.
Send one offer once in a while.
People will start trusting you slowly.
And trust is what makes them buy after some time.
So don’t stress. Start slow. Learn a bit. Improve little by little.
Email works if you stay patient.
